We’re making your credit card better, faster, and more secure—starting May 19, 2025.
Your Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union VISA® credit card is being replaced with a new and improved MasterCard®. There’s nothing you need to do right now—your new card will arrive in early May with easy activation instructions.

Key Dates to Remember

April 30 – Final day to earn ScoreCard® Rewards points

May 1–5 – New MasterCard® should arrive in the mail

May 18 – Last day your existing CPFCU VISA® card will work
-
May 19 – Your new CPFCU MasterCard® becomes active
What You Need to Do
Once your new MasterCard® arrives:

Activate your card following the accompanying instructions.

Continue using your Visa credit card until May 18th—your VISA® card will no longer work after May 18.

Update recurring payments like subscriptions, memberships, or automatic bills with your new MasterCard® number.

Redeem your ScoreCard® Rewards points by June 28, 2025.
What Stays the Same?

No impact to your credit score

No changes to your credit limit

No increase in fees or interest rates

Your account will remain with Commodore Perry FCU
Answers to Your Questions
Will I get a new account number?
Your CPFCU credit card account will remain the same, but your card number and expiration date will change. Joint cardholders will now receive their own unique card numbers—an update from the previous shared setup.
What if I lose my new card or notice suspicious activity?
Contact our member services team right away. Your new MasterCard® includes enhanced fraud protection and security features to keep your finances safe.
Will I still earn rewards?
ScoreCard® Rewards will stop accruing after April 30, 2025. You have until June 28, 2025 to redeem your points.
Will this affect my credit report?
No. Your account tradeline remains unchanged on your credit report.
